Hungary’s Szegedi Tudományegyetem University has awarded Professor Sami Ahmed Khalid, a distinguished member of the Sudanese National Academy of Sciences, an honorary doctorate in recognition of his global scientific contributions. Professor Khalid, celebrated as one of Africa’s foremost scientists in pharmacy (pharmacognosy), has published extensively, enriching libraries and inspiring students worldwide (Google Scholar account here).

Sudan’s Ambassador to Hungary, Mr. Siddig Mohammed Abdullah, conveyed his admiration, stating, “Professor Sami Ahmed Khalid’s honor is well-deserved. I had the privilege of attending the grand ceremony hosted by the prestigious University of Szeged this morning, where several accomplished scientists were recognized for their global achievements… I felt immense pride when the honorary doctorate was awarded to Professor Khalid, who  was introduced as one of Africa’s and the world’s leading figures in pharmacy and chemistry. His recognition was met with enthusiastic applause from an esteemed audience that included Nobel laureates in science.”
