- Enhance the quality and advancement of both theoretical and practical research endeavors in Sudan.
- Serve as a consultant to governmental and private entities, offering guidance in education, science, technology, and research.
- Facilitate the dissemination of research findings and knowledge through publications, support for relevant journals, and scientific conferences.
- Promote public awareness regarding the pivotal role of science and technology in fostering economic and social progress.
- Foster collaborations with analogous institutions worldwide, spanning both developed and developing nations.
- Secure funding to bolster the infrastructural development of scientific establishments within the country.
- Provide scholarships, incentives, prizes, and awards to promote excellence in scientific research.
