The International Science Council (ISC) support for the at-risk and displaced Sudanese scientists

This event has expired

The International Science Council (ISC) is actively supporting Sudanese scientists, academics, and scholars who are at risk or displaced due to the ongoing war in Sudan. The ISC’s Committee for Freedom and Responsibility in Science is monitoring the situation and has expressed deep concern over the extreme violence between military factions, which is severely impacting Sudan’s scientific community and institutions. The ISC acknowledges the hardships faced by Sudanese scientists, including those associated with the Sudanese National Academy of Sciences (SNAS) and the National Centre for Research. The SNAS has appealed to the global scientific community for solidarity and assistance, as the conflict has devastated research facilities and scattered the country’s scientists. The ISC is gathering offers of assistance and resources from its global network to support affected Sudanese scholars and students, urging contributions to help them continue their work despite the crisis.
